Citation Management Tools

Citation management tools can save time and frustration.  Zotero is an extremely useful and capable resource that also aids citation (and full-text article) organization.

 Zotero

  • Easy, quick, open-source (Free) citation manager
  • Works with PC/Mac OS's and Firefox, Chrome, Safari browsers
  • "Reads" citation data on a web page (icon which allows you to save a citation appears in line with address bar in browser)
  • Format citation in any of 2400+ styles available from Zotero
  • Find help: Getting Your Stuff into Zotero

While Zotero is dedicated to citation management there are also quick ways to cut and paste proper citation formats from many databases, e.g. WorldCat or EBSCO (Academic Search Premier and PsychInfo.) If you are unable to figure out how to create a list of the resources that you find, contact a librarian for a quick demonstration.
